Dear Readers,
As you have known, I have been planning to go to Bali from a couple of weeks ago. And I'm happy to tell you that I reached my destination safely (despite the flight delays from Jakarta and my misplacement of luggage in Bali).
On my first day right after I have reached Bali, we went to Ubud and visited the Sacred Monkey Forest. It is one of the famous tourist site here in Bali, and there are lots of monkeys roaming about there. They would just sit in the middle of the pavement, or sit on the side trying to eat whatever they think is edible. I even saw a couple of monkeys grinding stones on the ground (I have no idea what they were trying to do), but what amazes me the most is how I can see the level of intelligence in those creatures. Okay, and then I saw some nursing moms carrying their baby. It was ADORABLE!
But the winner of all the monkey I saw in the forest? Goes to the sleeping monkey! =)) I spotted a monkey sleeping in the middle of the pavement while sitting down and it wasn't even disturbed by all the tourists taking photographs of it, and by the way those monkeys are used to human presence in the forest so they are not afraid of making direct contact.
You could buy bananas with the local guide to feed to the monkeys and they would gladly take it from you, just make sure you're ready to snap some quick pics because they sure move fast.
And afterwards we went to look for some food and decided to go to Restoran Pulau Kelapa at Ubud, because not many restaurants are still open considering there was a local festival around here that day. I'm not really sure what it was though..
So I ordered Nasi Semur Sapi and Iced Lime Tea (too damn sour I had to ask for extra sugar). It was okay.. Nothing much happened afterwards, I was too tired that I feel asleep somewhere in the journey back to my sister's place.
Later that night we bought Nasi Jinggo which costs Rp 3.000,- per pack somewhere nearby, again it was so-so. But it's just something to fill me up to the night. Later again (around 10pm), we went to a hypermarket or something (not sure what to call it) called Pepito to get some bacon for breakfast in the morning. They really have a big variety of things there, lots of stuff I can't find in normal supermarkets. They even supply vanilla seeds.
So me and my sister spent the night watching Batsu Game - Airport (2012) laughing til we can't stand it. It's my favorite show! I can't stop laughing at everything, and I'm really looking forward for their show next year.
That is my summary of Day One in Bali.
Welcome to my blog! This is where I write about anything I'm thinking, feeling, or have been doing. From thoughts, emotions, events, culinary, vacations, and probably anything I can think of.

Psyched!
Dear Readers,
I have been absent for quite some time, I have been busy at work as usual clearing up all my work before I leave for my vacation this Sunday (Yes it's THAT soon!). And I've also got myself 2 more pairs of bikinis which you will get to see later! =D
Last Saturday, me, Ebong and Madhong got together quite late like around 10:30 pm. So when we decided to look for a place to eat (all other places close at 10), the closest thing that opens 24/7 around our area is McDonalds or 7eleven. And all of us weren't feeling like it. Soo... Instead we went to Menara Skyline, Sarinah and grabbed ourselves some burgers and fries at Burger King. After that we went to get some drinks in Starbucks next to it.
There were lots of 'Bule' (read: Bu-le, a term in Indonesia meant to address white people; none offensive), but most of them are with their Indonesian girlfriends. That brings out the topic that most Bules prefer Indonesian girls to Chinese girls, because they look more exotic. Is that true?
But that wasn't a case for Xia Xue, she's Chinese but manage to get a husband all the way from the US. And they met online! How cool is that! Although I don't mind having any other boyfriends, but my parents will only agree if I got a Chinese or Bule guy and I haven't had much good experiences with Chinese (not that all Chinese are the same). But on the other side I haven't had any experience having a relationship with a Bule, it might be very different from what I'm used to. But one needs to try to find out right? =D
On Sunday, we went to Lapis Lapis Cake, Coffee & Tea at Sunter. I used to think that Lapis Lapis only sells Kue Lapis (layered cake) but turns out there's a restaurant on the second floor. They have steak, salmon, pasta, and pork. I tried the pork rice, but it wasn't as I expected. They really should have a pictured menu..
And yesterday was Monday, so as usual there's Belly Dance and Hip Hop class at the gym. Me and Ebong joined the Belly Dance class, but afterwards we got too tired because both of us were sick. So we wrapped up and instead went to Lotus for Reflexology at Mall of Indonesia too with Madhong too. It costs Rp 30.000,- per person for 90 minutes session, it is totally worth it.
And I'm still sick with this stupid flu, drinking Larutan Penyegar Cap Badak and YouC1000 Lemon Water plus my daily vitamins (extra vitamin C) so that I get better faster. I don't want to be sick for my trip to Bali =(
See you Bali in 5 days...
