Dear readers,

From my previous posts, I may have promised you updates of my vacation trip to Bali. I have been very busy with work these couple of weeks, so I'll probably just cut to the chase.

Here are some pics from Bali:

I forgot the name of the beach, but it was somewhere along the beach of Kuta.

There are more pics, but most of them are scenery of Bali's culture and food.

If you like culinary adventure, try out Babi Guling Pak Malen at Jalan Sunset, Kuta. It costs Rp 25.000,- per portion of rice served with pork and pork only. Yes only pork, but they prepare it in various small portion of pork servings such as: Crispy Pork Skin, Grilled Pork, Pork Saute, Pork Soup, etc. so you can get a taste of every pork dish available in just 1 portion.

There are many places selling Babi Guling in Bali, but I do not particularly recommend Babi Guling Pak Dobil. For one, they charge a very expensive price of Rp 35.000,- per portion. And the portion itself isn't very much compared to Pak Malen's, not to mention the standard pork dish doesn't get my taste buds tickling. Nope.. I do not recommend Pak Dobil's.

Then there's this Warung Tahu somewhere on the way to Bedugul, they have very reasonably cheap prices and various menus all made out of or with tofu.

Last but best! Is the so called Siobak Babi at Denpasar.

Siobak Babi is kind of like a chinese 'nasi campur' with all sorts of pork dishes too (kind of like Babi Guling), but it's served and tastes more oriental compared to Babi Guling.

You can see my pork intake during this vacation has been awfully much, but I can't say I regret it. It was amazing! So back to Jakarta and I have to start my diet all over again, and I have a bikini tan. LOL!
